Aeron Remastered £250. Embody £200. Mirra 2 £200. Aeron £180. Steelcase Gesture £150. Leap V2 £100. UK-wide collection, BACS in 3 working days, no minimum quantity. Single home-office chairs through to multi-floor corporate clearances.
Ergonomic chairs are the chairs we buy in the most volume. Premium task seating from Herman Miller and Steelcase makes up roughly two-thirds of every buyback we run. They're the chairs that hold value because they're the chairs the secondary market actively wants — UK home offices and start-ups who would rather pay £450 for a refurbished Aeron Remastered than £1,400 for a new mid-tier alternative. Whether you've got one chair or four hundred, we'll quote on photos, book a slot, and pay BACS within 3 working days.
Per chair, Grade A, on collection. Same UK-wide. Final firm price confirmed against photos.
Got a Humanscale Freedom, Wilkhahn ON, Boss Design Kruze, or Allermuir Mascot? We buy those too — quoted individually. Use the calculator and pick "Other" or WhatsApp us a photo.
Ergonomic chair resale benefits from a clear value proposition: refurbishable parts, identifiable engineering, and a price gap between new and used that buyers can immediately understand. A new Aeron Remastered is £1,400. A refurbished one is £450. Most home-office buyers can do that maths in five seconds and act on it. The same value proposition does not exist for an executive leather chair where the new-vs-used gap is harder to verify.
Practical effect: ergonomic chairs from premium manufacturers attract higher headline buyback rates from us because we resell them faster. Refurbished Aerons typically sell within 2 weeks; refurbished Embodies within 1 week (limited supply, strong demand from developers and product designers).
Most office buybacks mix tiers. 60 Aerons + 30 Embodies in the staff area + 12 Soft Pads in the boardroom + 80 Steelcase Series 1 + 40 generic mesh chairs in the call-centre area. We line-item every model so finance can see what each line contributed. One pickup, one BACS payment.
Premium task chairs from the manufacturers that genuinely engineer for ergonomics: Herman Miller (Aeron, Aeron Remastered, Embody, Mirra 2), Steelcase (Leap V2, Gesture), Humanscale (Freedom), Wilkhahn, Vitra (where the chair is task — Soft Pad doesn't really count). The market test: does the chair have multi-zone tension, articulating arms, lumbar adjustability, and a manufacturer-warranted 8–12 year duty cycle?
Because the resale buyer base is different. Ergonomic chairs sell to home-office workers, developers, designers, and start-ups looking for premium seating without the £1,400 new-chair price tag. They will pay £450 for a refurbished Aeron Remastered because they know what they are getting. Generic "executive leather" chairs do not have a comparable resale market — see /sell-executive-office-chairs for that conversation.
Both. About a quarter of our ergonomic-chair buybacks are single chairs from home offices — someone bought an Aeron Remastered during lockdown, has now moved, and wants to sell. Same per-chair price as office buybacks. Most homes have 1–2 chairs to clear; we run weekly van routes through every UK postcode.
Yes — about £70 per chair. The Remastered (post-2017) holds £250 against the Classic's £180. The Remastered has the redesigned 8Z Pellicle, updated tilt mechanism, and current trim, all of which the resale market can verify and pay for. Both refurb cleanly; the Remastered just commands more in the secondary market.
We buy them — Freedom typically settles £80–£120 per Grade A chair, depending on configuration (headrest, armrest material). Wilkhahn ON is similar. Boss Design Kruze and Allermuir Mascot we quote individually. Send a photo and we will firm up the number.
Yes. Most office buybacks mix tiers: 60 Aerons + 80 Steelcase Series 1 + 40 generic mesh task chairs. Each line is priced at its own per-chair rate, one pickup, one BACS, one VAT-friendly invoice.
