Three Steelcase models we buy at headline rates: Leap V2 (£100), Gesture (£150) and Think V2 (£50). Plus the rest of the catalogue at quoted rates. UK-wide collection. BACS in 3 working days. No haggling on the day.
Steelcase chairs are the workhorses of UK corporate offices — banks, law firms, insurance, professional services. They're built to last fifteen years of daily eight-hour shifts, and most of the chairs we collect have done exactly that and still work fine. Whether you've got a single Leap from a home office or 600 from a multi-floor refurb, we'll quote on photos, book a slot, and pay BACS within 3 working days.
Per chair, Grade A, on collection. Same UK-wide. Final firm price confirmed against photos within an hour.

Steelcase has a different reputation to Herman Miller — quieter, more corporate, less iconic. But ergonomically the Leap V2 is among the best chairs ever made, and the Gesture (designed for nine working postures, including the "tablet slouch") is genuinely innovative. They refurbish well: Liveback flexors are durable, the upholstery wipes clean, parts are widely available.
Where Steelcase differs commercially is in the secondary market. Brand awareness among home-office buyers skews heavily Herman Miller, which means we sell refurbished Aerons faster than refurbished Leaps. The headline rates reflect that — slightly lower than Herman Miller equivalents, not because the chairs are any less good but because they take longer to resell.
Practical upshot: if your office has 200 Leaps, expect roughly 60% of what 200 Aerons would fetch. We're honest about this upfront because we'd rather you make an informed call than feel surprised on the day.
A typical Steelcase buyback is mixed: 120 Leaps + 40 Gestures + 30 Thinks + maybe a handful of Series 1s on a partial-floor clearance. We line-item by model so finance teams can see exactly what each line contributed. One pickup, one BACS payment, one VAT-friendly invoice.
Mixing Steelcase with other brands works the same way. Most clearances aren't single-brand — bundle in Aerons, Embodies, Vitras and Orangeboxes if you've got them.
Same prices nationwide. Below are the cities we run dedicated weekly routes through; we collect from every UK postcode.
Headline rates for Leap V2 (£100), Gesture (£150) and Think V2 (£50). We also buy Series 1, Series 2, Amia, Reply, Cachet, Player, Leap WorkLounge and Karman at quoted rates — send a photo and we'll come back same day with a firm number.
£100 per chair in Grade A condition (clean, all functions working, no rips through the upholstery). Mid-grade Leaps sit around £60–£80; broken examples drop to a parts grade of around £40. Same prices UK-wide.
The V2 launched in 2006 with a redesigned Liveback, taller back support and more adjustable arms. We pay the full headline £100 for V2; V1 chairs typically settle around £40–£60 because the resale market is much softer for them.
Yes. Same £150 headline; the headrest is a nice-to-have that helps the chair resell faster but doesn't change our buyback rate.
Yes — most of our buybacks mix brands. A typical clearance is 80 Aerons + 60 Leaps + 30 Gestures + a handful of Embodies. We line-item by model so you can see what each chair contributed to the total. One pickup, one BACS payment.
Honest answer: the secondary market for Herman Miller (especially Aeron Remastered and Embody) is roughly 3× the size of the Steelcase secondary market in the UK. Steelcase chairs are excellent — Leap V2 is one of the most ergonomically capable chairs ever made — but the brand awareness in home offices and start-ups skews Herman Miller. That's why our headline rates are slightly lower; we're still selling them, just to a slightly narrower buyer pool.
We buy both. Series 1 typically £40–£50 per chair in Grade A; Series 2 is closer to £70 because of its better lumbar adjustability. Send photos and we'll firm up the number within an hour.
We've spent fifteen years buying chairs and clearing offices for FM teams who needed it gone yesterday. We've sanded the friction off this process.
