This site is operated by CDC Trading Limited, trading as We Buy Office Chairs ("we", "us"). Registered office: Haresfoot Farm, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, HP4 2SU. By using the site or submitting an enquiry you agree to these terms.
We buy used office chairs from UK businesses and individuals for cash or BACS payment, and refurbish or recycle them. We are not a retailer, agent or marketplace — we are the buyer.
The figures shown on the homepage calculator and on our model and city pages are indicative buyback prices for Grade A chairs (fully functional, light cosmetic wear, no rips or broken parts). The number you see before submitting is an estimate, not an offer.
The firm offer is the price we send you in writing after reviewing photographs of the actual chairs. The firm offer is what gets paid on collection — we do not haggle on the day.
Chairs are graded against the headline price as follows:
If a chair turns out to be a different grade than the photos suggested, we will adjust the offer in writing before collection — never on the day.
Submitting an enquiry, accepting a quote in writing, or booking a collection slot does not bind you to sell. You may cancel at any point before our van leaves for collection — just reply to the email or message us on WhatsApp. We won't charge a cancellation fee.
If you cancel after our van has departed for the agreed pickup, we may pass on a reasonable wasted-journey fee — we will tell you the figure in advance and only proceed with your agreement.
By accepting payment for the chairs you confirm that you (or the entity you represent) own them outright and have the authority to sell them. Title and risk in the chairs pass to us on collection and on confirmation of payment.
Payment is by BACS within 3 working days of collection, to a UK bank account in the seller's name. Cash on collection is available on request — please flag it when booking. We do not pay deposits in advance of collection.
For larger transactions (typically £5,000+) we may need to verify the seller's identity to comply with UK anti-money-laundering rules. We will let you know in advance if this applies.
Headline prices assume ground-floor or lift-served pickup. If the collection involves stairs, restricted access, out-of-hours pickup, or remote postcodes, we may quote logistics separately alongside the chair value — always before booking, never as a surprise.
By sending us photos of your chairs you grant us a non-exclusive licence to use them internally for grading and quoting. We will not publish your photos publicly or use them in marketing without your written agreement.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with any single enquiry or transaction is limited to the value of the chairs in that transaction.
We try to keep the site online and up to date, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. Prices, model lists and coverage may change without notice — the version live on the site at the time you submit an enquiry is the version that applies to that enquiry.
These terms and any transaction arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
